What Would Jesus Buy?

As we are now moving into the Christmas period, I thought that it was time for everyone to partake of this insane documentary. What Would Jesus Buy? follows Reverend Billy and the Church of Stop Shopping Gospel Choir as they go on a cross-country mission to save Christmas from the Shopocalypse: the end of mankind from consumerism, over-consumption and the fires of eternal debt!

From producer Morgan Spurlock (SUPER SIZE ME) and director Rob VanAlkemade comes a serious docu-comedy about the commercialization of Christmas. Bill Talen (aka Reverend Billy) was a lost idealist who hitchhiked to New York City only to find that Times Square was becoming a mall. Spurred on by the loss of his neighborhood and inspired by the sidewalk preachers around him, Bill bought a collar to match his white caterer's jacket, bleached his hair and became the Reverend Billy of the Church of Stop Shopping. Since 1999, Reverend Billy has gone from being a lone preacher with a portable pulpit preaching on subways, to the leader of a congregation and a movement whose numbers are well into the thousands.

Through retail interventions, corporate exorcisms, and some good old-fashioned preaching, Reverend Billy reminds us that we have lost the true meaning of Christmas. What Would Jesus Buy? is a journey into the heart of America – from exorcising the demons at the Wal-Mart headquarters to taking over the center stage at the Mall of America and then ultimately heading to the Promised Land … Disneyland.

Will we be led like Sheeple to the Christmas slaughter, or will we find a new way to give a gift this Christmas? What Would Jesus Buy? may just be the divine intervention we’ve all been searching for.

The Shopocalypse is upon us … Who will be $aved?

Buy this amazing documentary on DVD...

Check out the book," The Two Babylons" by Rev.Alexander Hislop showing the pagan history nature of so called "Christmas" !M´Clintock and Strong´s Cyclopædia: saying Jesus birth can not be ascertained from the New Testament..
(1977 Edition ) The Encyclopedia Americana:..December 25 as Christmas is somewhat obsure, but it is usually held that day was chosen to correspond to pagan festivals..To celebrate the"rebirth of the sun"..The Roman Saturnalia ( a festival dedicated to Saturn, the god of agriculture, and to the renewed power of the sun ), and some Christmas customs thought to be rooted in this ancient pagan celebration." Vol6,page.666
The New Catholic Encyclopedia admits:"The date of Christ is not know. The Gospels indicate neither the day or the month..According to the hypothesis sugguested by H.Usener...and accepted by most scholars today, the birth of Christ was assigned the date the winter solstice ( December 25 in the Julian calendar, January 6 in the Egyptian ), because on the day, as the sun began to return to northen skies, the pagan devotees of Mithra celebrated the "dies natalis Solis Invicti"( birthday of the invincible sun ). On Dec 25, 274,Aurelian had proclaimed the sun-god principal patron of the empire and dedicated a temple to him in th Campus Matius.Christmas originated at a time when the cult of the sun was particularly strong at Rome" (1967) Vol III, page 658.
The Imperial Bible-Dictionary (London 1874)..."Hebrews looked on celebration of birthdays as a part of idolatrous worship, a view which would be abundantly confirm by what they saw of the common observances associated with these days"
That why Jehovah´s Witnesses do not celebrate so called "Christmas" ! It is pagan festival ! And nothing to do with Jesus Christ ! What you would call " Christmas" as the formeationed Encyclopedias show "Christmas" was celebrated long before Jesus was born as a man !!
So the question; What Would Jesus Buy ? The answer is food and maybe clothes if he needed it ! It would be normal day for him ! And angry and disgusted by naked consumeption !! That why nearly 7 million Jehovah´s Witnesses do not fall for this biggest Retail-Con that is played on the world !!!
