A Small Request

You know, I still can't quite get over the success of this site. Online Documentaries 4 U embodies the principles of free access that is so much a part of the internet these days. There has been so much talk about the role played by social networking in the so-called web 2.0, but this is not the whole story. The way in which the web brings us free information is now only starting to come into its own. I firmly believe that this will be a more enduring trend than social networking.

More and more people are finding that they use the internet amlost exclusively for their vewing leisure. To be honest, I personally don't really watch TV anymore...unless there is a good documentary on!

I am glad that so many people enjoy this site, but I have a small favour to ask...well, actually two.

I am not allowed to solicit my users to click on the advertisements on my site. I would like to ask my regular vistors, that if they see an ad that is truly of interest to them, however, that they take a minute to occasionally click through on them. I HATE sites that force advertising on their users with pop-ups and some of the more annoying forms of advertising we see these days. I DO NOT want to go down this path and therefore prefer ask that people freely support this site in the manner mentioned above.

I would also like to ask for your support in the area of bookmarking. You will notice the button at the bottom of each post that allows users to Digg, Stumble Upon or otherwise bookmark the post or site for sharing. I ask that you take some time to occasionally click on the bookmark button to help share this site with the world. If you have enjoyed this can bet that others also will!

Finally, I would once again like to thank you all for your enduring the free internet.

Thank you for this amazing gift. Documentaries4U is helping us, in my opinion, get closer to the ideal of an informed citizenry.

I totally agree with your opinions. Who needs TV when we can freely choose what we want to view, when we want to view it and without all the commercial breaks all the time? I love this site, and I have ever since I recently discovered it.

I would like to request more documentaries involving the human psyche. In particular documentaries that discusses the effects of psychedelic chemicals and how and why people experience hallucinations. Also, I am interested in modern robotics & nanotechnology. // Much apprechiatitive viewer
