In a style that is altogether shocking, brutal, and deeply humanistic, filmmaker Edet Belzberg transports us to the streets of Bucharest, Romania, where we are introduced to a "family" of five homeless children begging on the streets and living in subway tunnels, drug addicted, and painfully unaware of the cruel horrors of their soul-crushing existence.
As the children's story unfolds, the windows to their individual lives open up, revealing a harrowing day-to-day struggle for survival--from ten-year-old Ana, unfailingly maternal towards her younger brother Marian despite daily beatings from shopkeepers and other street-children, to Mihai, and unusually intelligent and motivated twelve-year-old who slashes at his arms and dreams of a better life.
PLAY INSTRUCTIONS
- Click on the play icon on screen...a pop-up will open for poker...close this and get rid of it.
- Click on the play button at the bottom of the player and film will start to play.
- ...enjoy!!!
In CHILDREN UNDERGROUND, the images captured by Belzberg's unflinching lens are so powerful and captivating that the camera quickly vanishes from the viewer's mind. What is left behind is a devastating portrait of human anguish and suvffering more riveting and absorbing than anything ever before captured on screen.

I just tried the link and it works. Megavideo is a little finicky sometime...refreshing the page your browser often helps.
Dont forget to follow the instructions. I have no affilation with Megavideo and make nothing from their advertising. For this reason, I encourage you to simply close the pop-up after it opens and enjoy the film.
Cheers,
Scott
hey it's not working again. it says that the video is temprarily not working. i went to megavideo.com but i couldn't find it there. has it been removed, or is it still just finicky? i think it's been like this for at least 2 days
for me there's no popup, it just says the video is temporarily unavailable, and please try again later. the video hasn't been removed, has it? cuz a lot of times it says a message like that when it has. i went to megavideo.com and it wasn't there
It looks like there may be a problem with this one...sorry all.
I will attempt to find another link soon.
awesome it works now! so i guess it was just the finicky problem =P
anyway i just saw the whole thing - and omggggg it is such a sad documentary. you live yourself sooooo much into this thing, at least i did. i feel so bad for all these poor kids! they're simply not loved, and as if that's not enough, they have to pay for it too! i could comment forever on every little sad detail of this movie but basically i'll just sum it up saying that it is a really powerful and depressing film and that i appreciate everything i have so much right now and it just breaks my heart how these kids so have NOTHING, and are so lacking of any meaning in their existences. ='( ='( but ***** nonetheless for it's brutal honesty
wow. I had not cried in over 5 years and this movie made me cry.
