Suggest a Documentary - March

We were able to bring you a lot of exclusive documentaries last month and a better range of documentaries in general. The reason we have been able to do this is because we have made a firm decision to not restrict the videos we post here to Google video only.

You would have noticed a lot more videos from Guba, Megavideo and yes...the dreaded Veoh. I do apologise to those that cannot access Veoh from their countries, but have little sympathy for those in Western countries that have complained about Veoh on principle.

We will continue posting videos from Veoh because there is material hosted there that is UNAVAILABLE anywhere else on the web. We either link to those Veoh films, or we do not have that material on out site at all. Well, for the 90% of viewers that have no problem with Veoh...we will contine to post videos from Veoh.

It is not up to us to try to convince viewers that Veoh is safe to use...you will have to make your own mind up. The fact is, however, that we have NEVER heard of any individual's computer security being compromised by Veoh. If anyone has credible published material on why Veoh is not safe, please post links in the comment section of this post and we will re-assess.

There were fewer documentary suggestions last month. I would like to remind our regular visitors that just because your request we not met this month, don't lose heart. We keep a running list of requested documentaries and will post them as soon as they become available.

Finally, many of our regular visitors have come over to this site via the Online Documentaries 4 U - You Tube Channel. You may have noticed that this channel was suspended this week. I am afraid that this is the end of us on You Tube and you will not see us there again in the future. If you are able, please let any of your friends that had suscribed to our channel know what has happened.

Now...it's time to step up and make your documentary suggestions for the month.

More of the "If..." series if available. I second the suggestion for docs on the French Revolution. I suggest that you add "This Film Is Not Yet Rated" about the movie rating system. It's available in a single part on Google.

I'd love to see the documentary called, Christian, the Lion at the Worlds End. It's about a lion cub purchased by two men at a department store in Enland. When the cub became too large for them to handle, they made arrangements for Christian the lion to return to his true home in Africa. After living in the wild for a year, Christian's caretakers went to visit with him. Their reunion was so heartwarming, depicting the deep love that this wild animal still had for the men who raised him. An amazing story.

I just saw the documentary called, Guns, Germs and Steel, and it would be well received by your viewers. I think it is a National Geographic selection.

The Corporation was highly recommended to me, and I'd love to see it.

I also saw an outstanding documentary called Earthlings, which reveal the horrors we humans inflict on our fellow animal earthlings. Everyone who eats meat, wears leather or fur, goes to a circus, or zoo should view this movie.
